The entire area consists of a coral reef that runs from the coast itself, and which goes deeper through labyrinthine ravines that reach up to twelve meters deep, there are small tunnels and caves of coral origin, the entire area is covered by more than thirty species of stony and soft corals, plus various sponges that serve as a refuge for the fish community of the place, the macro fauna and small organisms stand out. Playa Coral is a protected area where conservation activities and studies of corals are carried out.
Information to take into account.
- The diving time is 45 minutes on each dive.
- When two dives are carried out in the same place, the routes are different.

- The average annual temperature is 26.5 degrees C, dropping to 25 degrees in the winter months and rising to 30 degrees in the summer.

- Pick-up at Varadero Hotels is around 8:30 am and return in the afternoon between 2:00 and 3:00 pm.
- Clients are advised to bring natural water, a snack and a towel.
- The bottles are 10 and 12 liter steel, also 80 F3 aluminum (11.1 liters). They allow the placement (connection) of regulators with INT and DIN systems.
- Any client who does not have a certification to show will be considered a beginner, and even if they already have some experience, they will have to sign up for the Introduction to Diving course.
- In addition to the technical details, the pre-dive information will also provide the client with information on the conservation and coral repopulation work being carried out in this area, as well as including in the tour the observation of these projects in development.
